My hand stings at the affect of the slap making me feel how real this is. My brother was blasting the music too loudly in the house. I guess he didn't hear it. And I guess he wouldn't care even if he did. But I felt it resonate in my room. I stare at his face.

I don't know what other people would react like when your best friend kisses you out of the blue. But mine was that and the slap was instinctive. I see his expression which showed that he was expecting this from me. He was half apologetic is what I felt.

He looks up at me holding his cheek which I just slapped and I thought he was handsome at that moment, out of the 15 years we've known each other. Weird but I couldn't help it. I gulp and he takes a step forward and I move back as a reflex.

I don't know if it was a right decision when I came out to him and now I can't go back anyway. But will I regret it, is the question.
He keeps advancing as I move back until my back hits the wall. He looks at me dead in the eyes.
