Before Viktor Krane became the name that sent shivers down the spine of the bionic world, he was just a man chasing perfection. A man who saw power as something to be built, controlled, and weaponized.

She was supposed to be bionic-another piece in his grand design-but something went wrong. No super strength. No super speed. Nothing that made her fit into his vision of a soldier. Bree Davenport was excited for a new life on the Bionic Island. Well, sort of. Her best friend was still on the mainland, and her very own brother basically hated her for conspiring with his enemy. She thought that their little chat with Maggie solved things, but apparently it didn't. Life on the island was not like life back in Mission Creek. She had a group of bionic girls to take care of and teach them the ways of the bionic heroes. She was content with her group, but Bree knew that she wanted more for her life. She didn't want to be a teacher or a bionic hero whose only friends were her brother's girlfriend and her other brother's almost ex-girlfriend. And that's when a strange bionic boy washed up on the shore of the Bionic Island after a terrible storm one night. Bree managed to save this boy and brought him to the infirmary. He made a swift recovery, quickly joining her group and climbing up the ranks at the academy. His name was River James, and he didn't know where he came from. The only thing he knew was his name and that he had some sort of bionics, though he wasn't sure what exactly he had. Bree took it upon herself to show this guy the ropes. His eyes shone with irritation and apprehension as the first wave of his transformation overtook him and his body began to twist and lurch unpleasantly. Sierra bit back the pain as her own body began to do the same. The clothes ripped from her skin as her body grew and changed inside of them. Faintness started to threaten and she fought it back as long as she could to get her first glimpse of what she was becoming: she looked over to Adam to see a beautiful white tiger struggling on the floor in his place, the poor creature appearing dazed and unsteady, struggling to find its feet after the physical onslaught that had been thrust upon it. Sierra smiled to herself and let the darkness consume her, content with the knowledge that she'd just transformed into the same thing. "Well shit, that's different..." Adele remarked at length, effectively breaking the silence. --------------- A new job is usually a lot to deal with. When you add a new country and a newly discovered secret identity in the mix, it's more than just a lot! When Sierra arrives in Luxembourg, she has no clue what to expect or how to deal with everything, but she does know that she wants answers. The problem is, sometimes the search for answers only leads to more questions. 'Challenged' is the second book in the Skinwalker Series and it is still being fine-tuned.
