Before Viktor Krane became the name that sent shivers down the spine of the bionic world, he was just a man chasing perfection. A man who saw power as something to be built, controlled, and weaponized. She was his first failure. She was supposed to be bionic-another piece in his grand design-but something went wrong. No super strength. No super speed. Nothing that made her fit into his vision of a soldier. Instead, she was cursed with something far worse. A voice that could shake the ground. A scream that could shatter bones. A power that made even him afraid. So he abandoned her. Left her to rot in the world, nameless and forgotten, while he moved on to bigger and better projects. Now, years later, she's hunting for answers. If Krane wanted bionic soldiers, why is Davenport Industries at the center of it all? What did he learn from them that he couldn't get from her? She's spent her life hiding her voice like the plague, knowing that the moment someone discovers what she really is, they'll never see her as human again. But stepping into the world of bionic heroes and hidden agendas means one thing-secrets never stay buried forever. And once they hear her scream, nothing will ever be the same.

Bree Davenport was excited for a new life on the Bionic Island. Well, sort of. Her best friend was still on the mainland, and her very own brother basically hated her for conspiring with his enemy. Everywhere she went, Leo reminded her of her own shortcomings, even if Adam and Chase tried to stop their fights. She thought that their little chat with Maggie solved things, but apparently it didn't. Life on the island was not like life back in Mission Creek. She had a group of bionic girls to take care of and teach them the ways of the bionic heroes. She was content with her group, but Bree knew that she wanted more for her life. She didn't want to be a teacher or a bionic hero whose only friends were her brother's girlfriend and her other brother's almost ex-girlfriend. And that's when a strange bionic boy washed up on the shore of the Bionic Island after a terrible storm one night. Bree managed to save this boy and brought him to the infirmary. He made a swift recovery, quickly joining her group and climbing up the ranks at the academy. His name was River James, and he didn't know where he came from. The only thing he knew was his name and that he had some sort of bionics, though he wasn't sure what exactly he had. Bree took it upon herself to show this guy the ropes. As the weeks wore on, Bree and River grew closer, and her own bad feelings about the people closest to her grew, as well. River showed her a world without her family and friends, one where it was alright for Bree to do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted to. She was finally free from the weight of being a bionic hero, but there was something . . . off about the whole situation. Just when Bree thought things couldn't get any better, they got worse. For as long as she could remember, her world was a little cracked here and there. One little thing made her life shatter around her, and she wasn't sure if she was able to rebuild everything from the ground up.
