Magic was a new, and rare concept, throughout the massive island of Cortham, and not many knew how to address it properly, including (though he would never admit it) the King himself. Yet people all throughout the island knew this: everyone with magic possessed abilities different from any before them. Always new. Always unique.
Quinten had been reminded by his father every night since he was born to hide his magic. He knew it was there. He could feel it inside him, and when he tried, he could move it and control it the same way he could move an arm. His magic was the power of air. With air, he could blow objects in any direction he desired.

Along side each Night Fae exists a spider familiar, a creature whom converts dream energy into the finest silk imaginable.
