La Fille Sans Larmes (The Girl Without Tears)

Logline: In the near future, a man's love for his wife is put to the test when he discovers a secret about her.

I think this started off as one of my daily writing exercises, inspired by a writing prompt about someone discovering a secret about someone, and then I expanded it because I thought it was a pretty interesting concept. I imagined Chidi from The Good Place as my main character. Maybe because I was watching that show at the time? I don't know.

Funny thing is, I had this classical piano song playing in my head as I was writing it. The story had a particular vibe to it and I couldn't get the melody out of my head because it matched perfectly with the vibe I was going for. I wrote the story and finished it. THEN I look up classical piano compositions and came across the song that was actually stuck in my head. It's called "La Fille Sans Larmes" by Lo Mimieux. I was curious as to what this meant so I translated it from French to English and discovered that it meant "The girl without tears." I thought holy cow this is perfect because...well in the end...you'll see.

All that to say, I'm part psychic. It was meant to be. I'm also a Pisces so it makes sense.
