Elizabeth Marie Taylor had always known that she wanted to be a surgeon, maybe that was from watching her father go through tens of operations until he died when she was eleven years old or maybe it was the influence of her famous surgeon mother and granddad.

Her mother Adrianne Taylor famous neurosurgeon and grandad Gregory Taylor famous cardiothoracic surgeon had always made it known that they would love her and her siblings to follow their footsteps.

Her older brother Thomas became a neurosurgeon and her sister Catherine a cardiothoracic surgeon, she had always known she too wanted to be a surgeon but never in either of their specialties.

Being the youngest and the one with health issues it increased her insecurities and anxieties.

Falling in love with a colleague was never in her 5 year plan but plans didn't always work out. And she was in love and wouldn't walk away.
