Frances Setters earliest memory was of her Mother plucking one strand after another of her long brown hair from her head with tweezers, plucking as slowly as possible near her temple to cause as much pain as she could. She was 5 years old. She had suffered unspeakable acts of brutality since the day she was born and with each passing year, her mother's affinity for new and creative ways to torture her only grew. Two months before her 18th birthday she ran away with the clothes on her back and twenty-six dollars, vowing to never return. She's made good on that vow for nearly thirteen years... Franky, as she's known now, has made a good life for herself. She worked her way through College by "waitressing" at Leopold's, an upscale hot spot, that caters to the 9 to fivers through the week, and the filthy rich males on the weekends. On the weekends Leopold's is a very expensive and discreet Gentlemen's club. Whatever the men wanted, she provided. It was a job and it paid well. She had an apartment, car, and paid for her classes, which eventually landed her a bachelors in Social Work, which she had put to good use finding homes for abused and neglected children. She loves her job and the children. It's her purpose as well as her therapy. At the end of the day she goes home to her best friend "Furley," a dark haired, green eyed, three legged cat, whose past is as dark as her own. Franky is happy with the life she's created... and will do whatever's necessary to protect herself from her past... Her mother. Meanwhile... Audrey Setters has spent the last thirteen years keeping very close tabs on the ungrateful and spineless evil seed she calls daughter, waiting for the perfect moment to finish what she started so long ago... If Frances thought the first seventeen years were cruel and painful, then she would be shocked to discover just how wicked her Mother could be... And nothing is going to stop Audrey from destroying the person who ruined her life... her daughter.
