"Substitutes" is a suspenseful speculative short story about a girl named Eliza who discovers that the people in her school have been replaced by aliens.

Eliza wakes up one morning with an eerie feeling and heads to Jefferson High, noticing strange behavior among her classmates and teachers. Everyone moves in unison and displays blank expressions.
