"You're leaving so soon?" Louis raised an eyebrow as Eupha stubbed out her cigarette, answering a phone call with barely a word.
She nodded silently, heading to the shoe rack. Slipping on her shoes, she tied the laces with practiced ease, pink hair falling over her face.
Eupha wasn't alone. Sure, she had Grace and Emily now, but before them, there were others-'friends' she never truly saw as friends. They were placeholders, distractions to kill time until she met Grace. Louis was one of them.
He followed her, confusion etched on his face. Eupha never left this early.
"Why?" Louis pressed, watching her stand up and grab her jacket.
"I've got a girlfriend waiting at my apartment door," Eupha replied calmly, surprising him.
"Wait, for real?" Louis blinked, trying to process it.
But Eupha was already gone, the door swinging shut behind her.
