The Dead File follows a group of friends as they embark on a seemingly innocent adventure in a forest, only to find themselves trapped in a nightmarish loop they can't escape. As the days drag on, strange occurrences begin to unravel their sanity, forcing them to confront not only the eerie unknown of the forest but their fears and secrets. The group must make impossible choices in the face of an unforgiving and haunting force, pushing the limits of their endurance and friendship. As the line between reality and illusion begins to fade, one of them is left behind, but at what cost?

"I just realised something." I say, breaking the long silence from the journey. "I'm not gonna be too sad if we don't end up finding her." I speak looking straight ahead as I drive down the road, a million thoughts running through my head. I continue, "Maybe cause to travel is better than to arrive. It's actually what has happened along the way that counts; the tears, the falls and the friendship. It's about the journey and not the destination. And I know she'd think the same. I swallowed my saliva, chills running down my spine. I felt my palms getting sweaty as my legs nervously started bouncing up and down. In this book, the characters are going to face new evil threats that can hurt them badly, as well as kill off some characters. Technically there isn't really a main character so everyone is at risk of death, that means any of the characters will die and not come back, or be thought to of been dead but isn't really. Now as their journey carries on, the characters begin to slowly change through out all of it. You probably can imagine why since their friends are dieing slow painfully deaths. And instead of facing the one with the upper hand, they have no choice but to run and hide from them.
