Kanta does want to be more than a friend

After school, Kanta and his friend Teiichi are caught up in a card game, their laughter filling the emptying classroom-unaware of Tanya, who stands hesitantly by the door. When Teiichi leaves, Kanta finds himself alone with Tanya, and her unexpected words shatter the comfort they once shared. Tanya tells Kanta she needs space, leaving him confused, hurt, and struggling to understand why. As she walks away, Kanta is left to confront his feelings and the fear of losing someone he cares deeply about.
