This is a series about a young teenager, Aiko Akechi, who attends Calla High School, a school that has a program for every topic, including an Occult club. Students are fascinated with the afterlife and ghosts, which is why an annual application is sent out for all students to take to have the chance to win a spot on the Ghost Hunting Team. Surprisingly, Aiko gets in with little effort and little will to be there. Can the group live up to the hype?

When Aiko joined the group, they began solving mysteries and problems regarding the afterlife. They went to houses, schools, cemeteries, and even stores to solve ghost hauntings. Their goal was to send the dead to the afterlife.

Ghost Hunting with Yasu and his crew was inspired by; Toliet Bound Hanako-Kun, Ghost Hunt, and Ghost Stories.
