The unspoken pain of love

"Dev, how can you do this? You can't break this marriage!" Samira cried, her voice trembling with desperation, tears streaming down her face.
"Samira, listen to me. This marriage... it can't happen. It just can't," Dev replied, his voice calm but laced with pain, avoiding her piercing gaze.
"Really? Then look me in the eye and say it, Dev!" Samira's voice cracked, her hands trembling as she tried to hold herself together. "Since childhood, I have only loved you, and now... now, you're punishing me for that love? Why, Dev? Why are you doing this to me?"
