Into the Light

There was once peace between the two lands, the Kingdom of Solance, and the Dark Realm, but one day, that all changed. Both lands lived in harmony together and needed each other for survival. The Kingdom of Solance had lots of water resources and lots of land to grow crops on, but didn't have many forests or many mines, making it difficult to create tools. The Dark Realm had lots of forests, meaning they had a lot of wood which made making tools not a problem. The Dark Realm had a bunch of mountains, so mining for iron, copper, and other minerals was no issue, but they had very few water resources, due to the fact that their soil was parched. They did not have many crops because their land's harsh environments made it almost impossible to grow food. There was a lake that divided the two countries from each other. Both lands would trade with each other for the resources they needed until someone poisoned the lake that divided them from each other. No one knew who poisoned the lake, but the Dark Realm's queen thought that the king from Solance had poisoned it, so she pressed him to confess. The king of Solance thought that the queen of the Dark Realm had poisoned the lake, so they declared war on each other. During this time, a map was created of the two lands. It had never been copied, nor had it been destroyed. The creator ripped the map in half, making it two separate maps, one of the Kingdom of Solance, and one of the Dark Realm. The creator scattered the two pieces over the two lands, to be found when the time was right. The quest to find the other half of the map would be a hard and difficult journey, but it would be worth it in the end to bring peace to the lands.
