Everlee West lives a normal life, and she's perfectly fine with it. Going to a new middle school for 7th grade, everything is new, strange and already way out of her comfort zone. When she gets lost during one of her classes, she stumbles across something that she shouldn't have seen. One thing leads to another, and she uncovers a whole new part of the world that has been hidden. She also finds out that the government is working hard to destroy the world that she just discovered. So she tries to stop the government, and learns more about herself and magic along the way.
She also makes some new friends and stuff :)
