Who Are You?

The question I had behind my head lingered for a period of time as I stared at him, confusion etched in my soul and mind.

What are you?"

Silence.

Turning around, I was met with him standing there, staring at me with an emotion I couldn't quite describe.

He remained silent, expression stoic as we just stared at one another. "What is it you want from me?"

Silence.

"Why did you follow me here?"

Silence.

I felt myself grow more irritant and on edge as the moments went by, and he wouldn't answer my questions.

"Who are you?"

Ayana was in desperate need of providing the Grey Family closure on their fallen star. She knew she would solve the case, just with an unexplainable aura following her around, clouding her vision, simultaneously covering the dangers that came with solving the case.

Though her safety was immensely compromised without her knowledge, Ayana would do anything to give a grieving family the closure she never received, but at what cost?
