"Before I show you who I am, I want you to remember what you're fighting for," Aide replied cautiously and gave them all a piercing stare. "Keep an open mind."

"Just tell us, lad," Hanke snarled impatiently and bobbed his sword.

"Brace yourselves," Aide said as he slowly reached for his hood.

Emaia's heart pounded vigorously in her chest, so loudly, she feared people could hear.

This was it. She would finally see the face of her rescuer, the face she had so longed to see.

Aide gave them all one last lingering look before he closed his eyes. "Your whole world is about to change."

He punctuated his sentence by pulling off his hood.

The entire crowd gasped and all readied their weapons, as long silver hair burst free from the cloak and long slender ears appeared.

It was impossible, Emaia thought. They had been extinct for decades.

But there was no denying it. She looked at the man who had rescued her a few nights ago, and remembered him as charming and valiant. It all made so much sense now-why he could do, what he could do.

He was an elf. And not just any elf.

- A Northern Elf.

Aurora opens her eyes only to feel the agonising pain in her body. That is to be expected when there has been an accident. It's excruciatingly painful. Aurora groans in pain and pulls off the blanket, taking in her surroundings. It is more appropriate for a hospital interior design to look to the mediaeval era. Not shabby, but more on the extravagant side. The nurses' attire, on the other hand, appears odd. Someone said out of nowhere, "Her Grace, please wake up! Call the doctor right away!" Aurora approaches the mirror and looks at the woman with deep red eyes in it. The woman had blonde hair that, while a little messy, flowed perfectly over her shoulder. Her fair complexion lends her an ethereal appearance. Not to mention that her outfits make her look like a noblewoman from a historical series. She pinches herself, only to realise that the blonde woman staring at her is herself. A thought struck her mind, as she utters her first statement in this world, "Fuck me". Medea has finished her work, but she is still unsure how to fix all of the messes. She hasn't been herself in a long time, and it's bothering her. The throne seems so far away, and the weight of the burden grows heavier with each passing day. A letter from the Imperial Palace has arrived, instructing the Duchess to look after the House of Smith's Duchess of Light, Natalie Wilson Smith. As an evil scheme was about to unfold, she smiled wickedly. 'This is my new card.' p/s: I can't find the original owner of the photo of the cover, if you know or you are the owner of the cover. Isaac holds her chin, preventing her from looking down, "You know that, right?" "Yes, I do." "I would do anything you ask of me, even if it is to hang the stars." She chuckles, shaking her head, "How could you possibly catch a star, or even hang one?" "I am so in love with you that I would die trying if I knew that it would bring a smile to your face." "You thought you could threaten her? That you could hurt her, violate her the way that you did and walk away alive?" His voice was filled with raw fury, each word like a blow. "Please," the Sower gasped, his eyes darting to the ghastly charred remains of his men. "I- We didn't mean-" Thane didn't let him finish. With a surge of heat, the flames flared from his body, engulfing the man in a swirling inferno. The Sower screamed, his cries echoing through the clearing as the fire consumed him, but it didn't end his life-not yet. Thane controlled the flames, letting them torture rather than kill, a terrifying display of his power and restraint. "Didn't mean to?" Thane echoed mockingly, leaning down so his face was inches from the Sower. His eyes burned with rage, dark and unrelenting. "You meant every word, every threat, every action. And now you'll burn for it." ******************** In a world torn by war, where men and women are divided into separate kingdoms, Fern, a healer and herbalist, sets out to end the decade-long conflict. He was notorious and feared for slaughtering female warriors. Despite the hatred in his eyes, Fern makes the decision to heal him, forging a bond that neither expected. As their worlds collide, they must face the scars of their past. Can a single act of kindness heal old wounds, or will the weight of their history destroy them both?

A familiar voice cut through the din of battle. Her breath caught. Max. His commanding tone carried across the field as he directed his troops. "Hold the line! Push them back toward the ravine!" Camilla pressed herself deeper into the shadows, pulling her hood lower. Five years had passed since she'd last seen him, yet his presence still made her pulse race. The hood's rough fabric scratched against her cheek as she adjusted it, ensuring her face remained hidden. "The mysterious captain fights well," Max's voice carried from somewhere behind her. Too close. She dispatched her opponent with a move she instantly regretted - a distinctive disarming technique Max had taught her years ago. "That move..." His footsteps approached. "Captain!" A messenger rode up, providing the distraction she needed. "Enemy reinforcements approaching from the north!" "Not possible," Camilla muttered, forgetting to disguise her voice. "We destroyed their northern supply lines." The messenger shook his head. "They've found another route, through the mountain pass." Max's sharp intake of breath told her he'd recognized her voice. "Cam?" She kept her back turned, barking orders to her troops. "Secure the perimeter! Prepare for-" "Camilla." His hand caught her shoulder. She shrugged it off, still not facing him. "We have more pressing concerns than reunions, General." "Look at me." "The enemy is-" "That's an order, Captain."
