Tears in Bliss
I know why Jesus shall weep;
When heaven's scenes shall flip;
Then a golden mansion shall appear;
With these sad words at its rear;
"The world to him was too dear;
That God's voice he did not hear;
That is why he is not here."

I know why my LORD shall mourn;
When all the pain He has borne;
And in cold and dark prayed alone;
Yet a poor soul vanity has sown;
And allegiance to evil sworn;
Though the right they have known.

We are bought with unfathomable woe;
The anguish of Christ we know but a clue;
O let's show Christ died not in vain;
The way of right is just clear and plain;
Let's cease from indulgence of profane;
Let's give evil her rightful disdain.
