After a nasty breakup, Katerina Minola has sworn off men. She only needs her best friend, Bianca, and her cat, Snickers. She's happy with her busy life as a feminist journalist studying at NYU.

That is until she hears her brother is coming back from an overseas boarding school. Nobody quite knows what happened between Katerina and her brother, but they know she hates him for it.

With having to navigate her brother being back in her life, her best friends confusing feelings for her brother, and an annoyingly handsome guy who can't seem to leave her alone, Katerina's peaceful life is shattered.

As unfortunate as she thinks her situation is, everything happens for a reason.
