The Bloom of Death's Mercy

Azrael, the fearsome God of Death, stood before the Bridge of Souls, a cursed passage filled with countless trapped spirits unable to cross into the afterlife. The sight filled him with frustration, and he sought the help of the legendary Lotus Clan, known for their great healing powers. But the clan's magic could only heal the living, not the dead, leaving them powerless to cleanse the cursed bridge.

Fearing Azrael's anger if they failed, the cowardly Lotus King made a desperate decision. He offered his youngest daughter, falsely proclaiming she could heal the dead even though her magic was weak and barely stronger than a simple talisman.

As the first soul whispered to her trembling hands, a strange voice whispered through the air, "Beware the healer who treads where life and death intertwine, for her light may awaken a shadow even the god of death cannot contain."
