The school corridors were mostly empty, the echo of Aisha's hurried footsteps bouncing off the tiled floors. She was running-not because she was late for class, but because she had just survived a painfully awkward conversation with her history teacher about her incomplete homework. All she wanted was to disappear before anyone else noticed her embarrassment.
And then it happened.
She turned a corner too fast and-BAM!-crashed straight into what felt like a solid brick wall.
Except it wasn't a wall. It was Mahdeen.
Aisha barely had a second to react before her coffee, the one she had been carefully cradling, spilled straight onto his white-and-green volleyball jersey-his Number 4 jersey.
