Since she could remember, she never believed her parents were really dead, and has been searching for them ever since she became part of the mercenary group. The deal to stay with the group so she could find her family was that she was to become a mercenary herself, in which she did, and excelled at. When Lotus, the Captains right hand man, was retiring, the Captain wanted to replace him with her. Lotus felt a woman was unfit to fill such a responsible position, and took his rage out on them, killing the Captain after a days battle. He banishes Erin, sending troops after her, for her head. However, she was smarter than that, and saw that coming. She travels with Rune, a man who saved her life during the previous days battle, reluctantly. Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva. Rune commands Erin to travel with Kier, a man who has a special hatred for these Pandoreos, and warn Queen Beatrice, and King Cecerion about the upcoming war, in hope for an alliance with Queen Eiva. That is, if the humans can stay one step ahead of the Pandoreos.

It was established to capture heinous criminals, or Supervillains as they were later dubbed. These thieves, who were first just bank robbers, gradually transformed into dangerous beings with unique talents. Others did it to torment the poor youngster, others did it out of retaliation against Y/N, and some did it to pillage the wealthy. But some of them... had selfish, if not lustful, motives. Y/N began to adapt his mind to the special combat arts to fight off the criminals both day and night. However, Y/N may have not known that most of these criminals were beautiful animal-based female villains who grew a loving bone for him. At first, they hated him for ruining their little operation but slowly began to see Y/N as more than just a nuisance, they saw him as a man who knows how to give a woman a good time. To face the thieves day and night, Y/N started modifying his mind to unique martial skills. However, it is possible that Y/N was unaware that the majority of these offenders were stunning, animal-based female baddies who developed a soft spot for him. At first, they despised him for upsetting their small affairs, but over time, they came to regard Y/N as more than just a bother; they saw him as a man who knows how to make a lady happy.

The year is 2063. Technology in the 21st century has progressed beyond what anyone has ever dreamt of. Artificial intelligence has become an integral facet of everyday life, from transportation, business, and even in the world of medicine where many pay top dollar to have their organic forms cybernetically enhanced with technology and A.I. for life longevity. But at the same time, this technology is used to create synthetic android weapons of war. Among those weapons, a former Nation's Army combat android by the designation of AX-15. After being critically incapacitated in action, AX-15 was rendered unfit for service and was practically thrown out onto the streets. However, the android had been discovered by a smooth-talking mercenary that still found use for the combat androids' capabilities and given him the new name of Axis. The two go on to become the most feared hitmen in the underground, going by the name "Machina Mortis". Axis, with programmed loyalty to the mercenary and to the contract, suddenly has a glitch in his programming after an unexpected development during a mark which causes him to break from his prime directives and ignite a part of himself that Axis didn't know had existed.
