From behind her, something moved, some rustling from the bushes that hadn't been affected by the fire could be heard. She gasped in horror; someone had found her. "No, stay back!" she warned the person behind her "i-." She gasped for air as she continued to cry. "I don't want to hurt you!" The fire activated as her emotions fell out of control again.
"You wouldn't hurt me even if you tried," the person spoke. His voice was so... She turned around and immediately noticed that he had tossed something to her, her dragon plush. How... She looked up at the edge of the crater.
It was him.
Red Son.
Her eyes widened.
"That's a bold statement..." she sniffled. "...Coming from you, Red Boy." She tried to sound as confident as possible, but the tears kept falling and falling, and the only thing she wanted to do was lay on her bed and never wake up again. He jumped inside the crater, getting close to Mei. He tisked.
"Dragon Horse Girl..." He said, as proud as ever, he was never going to change. "Looks like you could use some fire training."

I struggled and lashed out at him hoping to cause some, any damage at all that might allow me to escape, instead his grip tightened and a whimper escaped without my consent. His touch burned, or at least I imagined it burning, sizzling my skin until it was burnt to a crisp. He clawed down the back of my dress, shredding the lace fabric to bits as if it was paper, it floated to the ground like confetti, I looked at it in disgust, as if it was celebrating my exposure. The cold air of the store room nipped at my bare back, contrasting between the burning fire his touch inflicted. I felt sick. He was now shoving himself closer to me until it was impossible for me to move. I could hardly even breath. I was seeing red and I couldn't even do anything. I felt so helpless. Tears welled up in my eyes and they threatened to spill. I shut them tight wishing I had just stayed at home. Suddenly the pressure released. I could breath. Once again I was shocked and didn't know what was happening until I opened my eyes and saw the rogue getting up and looking to my right. I hadn't even noticed the large figure standing protectively next to me and so I was staggering away from him too. Power radiated from him making me feel safe and scared at the same time.

My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain. I could feel the blood still tripping down my leg and face, so I knew I couldn't make false promises but Shane needed me. He needs me. At some point, he has an outburst and his fire erupts into colored flames which scares him, he swears that it even hurt him. Red son gets scared of himself and worries about his parents, not wanting to hurt them. So he runs away with as much as he could carry and runs into Mk. After some convincing Red son decides to go with Mk but the longer he stays the more feelings he catches for Mk, and the more risk of putting him in danger. all the art featured is done by me it's slow-burn but it gets there at some point :D
