In a post-apocalyptic dark dystopian fantasy world, where on a person's 15th birthday they are gifted a Kill Card- a pass to a murder of their choice with NO repercussions. Our main character, Fade Alpine, and her twin brother, Echo, are turning 15 tomorrow, and they have a plan to get out of their abusive situation. However, that night, Echo becomes a victim of the kill card, and fade, who witnessed the murder happen... can remember everything. Now a run away, with a kill card in her bank, and her best friend and twin brother gone, fade has lots of decisions to make. However, she's not the only one who can remember... who are these strange people and why are they hiding? Is she one of them? If so, why? Where does she go from here, especially as she uncovers more and more truths- secrets meant to be hidden for reasons uknown.

Join me as I write Fade's story in my first attempt at a novel, "Fading". I'm open to feedback! WARNING: this story IS DARK at times, and it addresses some really deep things including murder, mourning, anxiety, and more. It's rather graphic. I AM a member of the lgbtq+ community so i may incorporate gay relationships in the story. If you're not a fan, don't be a hater, just move along pls. If you still wanna read this though, please do, and let me know your thoughts.

In a world where the future isn't written but echoed, 17-year-old Lila hears the whispers of events yet to happen - but they're not hers. The echo she's been hearing for months is someone else's life, someone's fate, and that someone is in danger. As she tries to uncover the identity of the person behind the mysterious echoes, Lila finds herself caught in a web of secrets, shadowy figures, and a powerful organization that will do anything to keep their plans hidden. Can she stop what's coming before it's too late, or will the echoes become her own fate? First Chapter (Excerpt): I've always heard things. It started when I was younger - whispers of something I couldn't see, couldn't understand. At first, it was just faint sounds, like voices drifting from another world. But by the time I was sixteen, those whispers turned into something more - echoes. Clear, distinct, and impossible to ignore. It's strange. Most people think the future is something that hasn't happened yet. But for me, it's not that simple. I hear the future. The thing is, the future I hear isn't mine. I've been hearing her - a girl I don't know, yet know everything about. Her life, her fears, her pain. I can't explain how, but I hear her voice every night, calling out for help. I don't know her name. I don't know her face. All I know is that something horrible is coming for her. And if I can't stop it... then her fate might echo into mine. Tonight, I hear her again. The echo sharpens, clearer than ever before. "Help me, Lila. It's happening. They're coming." The echo fades. And just like that, I'm left with a choice - follow the voice, or ignore it and risk the consequences. I don't know why it's me she's calling to, but I can't just do nothing. I owe it to her. And to myself.

It was gentle and soft, something I never expected from a guy like him. He moved his right hand from my cheek to my waist, tugging me against him, and molded our bodies together. A wave of electricity went down to my core when he licked my lips. "Open your mouth, Bella." His commanding husky voice against my lips jolted my heart, and I followed his order like a slave. With no control, a moan erupted from my throat as his tongue met mine. It was barely audible, but I knew he heard it when he smiled against my lips. He swept my hair from my face to my back and gathered them in his fist. He tugged my head back, deepening the kiss, and my heart thrashed in my chest. At that moment, I didn't need drugs to know what being high felt like because his lips were enough to send me on nine clouds. Just once and I was addicted to it. If this is how being kissed feels like, then fuck, I've wasted a lot of time. ~^~^~^~ FEATURED ON: @Romance (Romantic Suspense) HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 Goodgirl, Darkpast #2 Badboy #5 Newadult
