Our experiences shape how we think. But sometimes that thinking gets us into more trouble than we bargained for.

Elisaria believes surrender is the only way to save those she loves. She clings to that belief, even when the war reaches her corner of the world. Capture and the events that follow make her reevaluate her worldview though, and leave her to grapple with the "why".
Time heals all, but it's also fleeting, moving ever forward. Can Elisaria learn the value of fighting for those she loves before it's too late? Or will the forces of the world overwhelm her?

The story is going through a rewrite, so updates may be inconsistent. This is also closer to a first draft than a polished work, so forgive me for any inconsistencies. Feel free to give any feedback, and hope you enjoy this little piece of my mind.

PS. The title may change as soon as I find a better one. Along with the cover. Sorry, this is very much a work in progress
