This book is a little outdated and will be getting a rewrite soon! ------------------ Fighting, dragons were always fighting in the Rainforest. Not physically, but verbally. The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? So far, that plan has been going swimmingly. Which is to say horrible, because as a dragon who's never even seen the sun (let alone a body of water), Eight can't swim. When her section of Workers reaches maturity they are tasked with a new job: one Eight does not agree with. They have to sire a new generation of Workers for the Colony. She and her best friend devise a plan to escape, but that also backfires - this time, more literally than figuratively... --- Even though this story is rated Mature, it is only for the occasional fight scenes which include enough blood and gore to showcase the reality of fighting. There is also implied+referenced non-con due to the structure of one of the tribes' military society. Nothing happens on-screen. Also dragon racism (it's promoted by the military as propaganda to make their soldiers think of their enemies as less than). I bonk character responsible very thoroughly in the sequel! If you haven't read the books yet, this might be a bit confusing because this takes place first in book six and takes some information from book 7.
