Prologue: Grian awoke feeling his mind being ripped apart. It was a short pain but it made him believe he wasn't even himself. Is that true?
He found himself in a room. A dark one. It was pitch black with nobody around.
He heard chanting in the distance. "We are those who watch, be weary of those who listen. They will always mislead you when it comes to decisions. Grian Gotts, do you accept the role and responsibilities of a Watcher?"
What? What's a "watcher" and why am I tempted to say yes.
"Your friends wouldn't be able to hide anything from you, you'd know what they so rudely refuse to tell you."
That was his tipping point, he was in.
(Yes this story is Mumscarian. Yes there are other ships. I'd tag them but I don't want to spoil)

"shut it watcher, we know your tricks." their youngest hermit who joined the server had left their server after staying a week. He was overpowered by his fellow hermits who had accused him of murder. "grian! that's grian!" the hermits who fled to find their youngest soon faced a replica of the shopping district. it was clearly deserted, yet somehow full of life. the missing hermit who they saw on a random window sill lay his head on a table, in each seat was an armour stand with different positions and different heads. this was his life for over 3 years. Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense.
