Claiming You Under the Blood Moon

I am dressed in ridiculous clothing that allows most of my curves to spill from the front opening. It is a gold robe trimmed with real wolf fur. (Hopefully not fur from my own clan.) Ian, my supposed mate, is allowed to keep his dignity with jeans and a simple t-shirt that accentuates his muscles. My red hair streams down my back.
"What's wrong, dearest mate? " he asks while patting the bed beside him. "You have nothing more to fear from me."
"I'm not your mate."
"The Moon Goddess disagrees with you."
"Your clan has never kneeled before Luna. Besides, I know my heart, Ian. It doesn't belong to you."
He stands up from the bed and grips my long, red mane in one fist, forcing my mouth to meet his. He gives me a punishing kiss, his mouth hard and demanding and I don't refuse him as my own passion rises. He is a good looking man with his thick, black curls and a hint of the devil every time he smiles.
Ian releases me unexpectedly and I collapse to the floor. There is a knife in his right hand.
"I'm not going to hurt you," he insists as I stare at the knife. "I just need to carve the Blood Claw signa into your skin, before we consummate our marriage." His grin becomes maniac, as I succumb to my fear, at last. "Do you still want me?" he whispers.
