The Girl I've Always Been

Caroline Lyra Martin has known from a very young age that she was not a fighter. She was a lover.

She had only agreed to Karate lessons as a kid because her best friends father had promised it would bring the girls inner peace.

The once again because her father and Johnny practically begged the girl to let them teach her. Which she was happy to comply with because, for once, it meant her godfather was brought back to the man he really was.

Then, finally, once more because she wanted to prove that she could become the first female all valley champion

But once Caroline had realised that the whole reason her godfather and Mr LaRusso a man who had helped raise her despised each other over a karate tournament, Caroline quit.

Not wanting karate to ever drive a wedge between her and the people she cares about. From then on Caroline found other outlets to bring her peace. Mostly she danced, it gave her an outlet and she was good. Life was good. That was until she was visiting her godfather, checking up on him like she promised she would do while her parents were out of town for their 25th wedding anniversary.

There she met a boy who changed the course of her life. For better and for worse.
