I take a step back, my pulse racing, heart pounding in my chest. "You think you control me?" I challenge, striving to steady my voice, though the fear is creeping in. It's real, raw, and it's beginning to take hold.

He steps closer, and my breath catches. "Control's a funny thing," he mutters, his lips curving into a smirk. "You think you're in control now, but every decision you make, every move you make, I've already worked out. You're playing my game. You just haven't clocked the rules yet."

I try to pull away, but I am cornered, trapped - by him, by the thoughts swirling in my head, trying to grasp how this all became so twisted, how I allowed him to get this close.

"You think you've got the upper hand?" he asks, his voice dangerously soft, the words almost lost in the air between us. "You're wrong, Olivia. The moment you looked at me, you sealed your fate."
