Over the past millennia, the world has become a place where most have no say in anything - unless of course you are part of the Government. Society has become cruel and unforgiving, stripping people of their freedom. 

And that is what Vera and Harry fight for; freedom. Harry wants to be free of his impending responsibilities and his father, and Vera wants to be free of the Government and Harry.
