Elias Whitefield was thirteen years old when he finally had a chance to change the course of his life. Of course, there were a few bumps in the road. 

Those bumps mainly involve him being an assassin (former, he insists) among other things. 

So, when he decides to do something he knows he'll probably regret, he didn't realize how much he would come to regret it.
