Delise terbangun dalam keadaan panik, merasa ada seseorang yang menatapnya dengan intens. Delise meraih belati yang disembunyikan di bawah bantal, dan dengan hati-hati mengarahkannya ke posisi leher seseorang yang berada di dekatnya. Saat tangannya menyentuh kulit orang tersebut, ia mendengar suara tawa pelan yang menggema di ruang yang sunyi.

"Apa yang kamu lakukan?"
tanya suara itu, diiringi tawa yang semakin jelas. 

Delise menatap tajam, kesal, dan melihat sosok pria itu yang tengah tertawa geli di sampingnya.

"Kau...!"
serunya, seakan baru tersadar dari kebingungannya. Ternyata, orang yang ia takutkan sejak tadi adalah orang yang selama ini menganggunya, yang kini duduk santai di samping tempat tidurnya.

"Kau pikir aku siapa, pembunuh bayaran?" tanyanya sambil tertawa lebih keras, namun senyumannya penuh dengan rasa puas melihat reaksi Delise yang jelas-jelas kesal. "Aku tak tahu kalau kamu secemas ini," tambahnya dengan nada menggoda.

"Kenapa kau masih di sini?" tanya Delise suaranya sedikit kesal

"Kenapa aku tak pulang? Tentu saja aku tetap ingin bersamamu," jawabnya dengan nada menggoda yang membuat Delise semakin kesal.

"Aku belum selesai menikmati 'momen' kita tadi," lanjutnya tanpa rasa malu, matanya menatap dengan rasa puas.

Delise memutar matanya, merasa tidak bisa lagi menahan kekesalannya. "Kau tahu, aku ingin tidur dengan tenang, bukan diganggu olehmu!" ucapnya, mencoba untuk meluapkan perasaan yang sudah dipendam sejak tadi.

Tiba-tiba, suara ketukan pelan terdengar dari arah pintu.  Pria itu dengan cepat menggunakan sihirnya untuk teleportasi keluar dari kamarnya. Dalam sekejap, ia sudah tidak ada di sana lagi, meninggalkan Delise yang masih kesal dan tercengang dengan perasaan yang kacau.

Delise menarik napas dalam-dalam, berusaha menenangkan dirinya. Ia masih bisa merasakan kehadiran pria itu yang seakan-akan menghantui setiap sudut kehidupannya.
