The Lie You Told Me In September
CaitVi (from Netflix's Arcane) Modern AU Violet Lane, Vi, is a self-made woman who has been supporting herself and her sister for years. She is used to taking care of people. In fact, she loves it. The LGBTQ+ community center that she runs in the Undercity District of Piltover is the one place where she finds purpose. Now, she struggles to keep the doors open as their funding grows insufficient and business people try to get her to vacate the space. Caitlyn Kiramman has grown up as a part of the wealthiest and most influential families in the Topside District of Piltover. Her whole life has been planned out. She graduated from Piltover University, joined the family real estate business, and is now on a steady path to take over for her mother as head of the family business when she retires. She just needs to prove herself. When Caitlyn is sent to charm the head of one of the Undercity's community centers into closing their doors, her resolve is tested when she finds herself desperately attracted to the pink-haired woman that she meets, who happens to be Vi. Will the two women be able to keep the fire going between them while the true reason for Caitlyn's arrival threatens to blow it out? Characters and their personalities are based on characters from the Netflix show Arcane. The story and plot are original.

Vi took a step closer, voice teasing. "Why does it bother you, hmm?" Caitlyn hated how her heart sped up. She looked away, grumbling, "Because... because you're supposed to be loyal to me." Vi's smirk faltered slightly. Caitlyn crossed her arms tighter. "I mean-not that we ever had anything. But still! You-You can't just..." She trailed off, biting her lip. Vi studied her for a long moment. "Caitlyn." Caitlyn refused to meet her gaze. Vi sighed, softer now. "I'm single, okay?" Caitlyn swallowed. Vi hesitated before continuing. "But yeah, I... I do love someone." Caitlyn hiccupped, rubbing at her eyes furiously. Vi reached for her, concerned. "Caitlyn, why are you-" "I knew it!" Caitlyn blurted, voice wobbling. Vi blinked. "Knew what?" Caitlyn sniffled. "You do love someone! And-and now I have to compete with them?" Vi opened her mouth-then shut it, utterly baffled. "I-what?" Caitlyn grabbed Vi's hands. "Just-just love me instead!" ---- Caitlyn Kiramman has everything-fame, fortune, and a career that keeps the world watching. But with the spotlight comes danger, and when a series of anonymous threats escalate, her security team hires Violet, a former underground fighter with a no-nonsense attitude and a past she refuses to talk about. Violet is everything Caitlyn isn't-rough, unpredictable, and infuriatingly stubborn. From their first meeting, sparks fly, but not the good kind. Caitlyn finds her bodyguard impossible, while Violet sees Caitlyn as just another spoiled celebrity. Warzone
War has taken over in both Piltover and Zaun. Piltover and its new Sheriff Caitlyn strategizes with new hextech weaponry as she and her allies debate how best to approach Zaun. Vi battles internally with herself over what she really wants. When Vi and Cait come together to fight for justice, Caitlyn must convince Vi to stay with the cause while Vi struggles to keep Cait from being consumed by vengeance. Through the war, Caitlyn and Vi must both keep track of their priorities and make several personal decisions that may change the fate of their cities forever. A what-if continuation of S1 events before S2 comes out [may diverge from lore canon and from S2 canon once it comes out] [in progress] PROGRESS UPDATE Chapter 32 is up! Did I already mention this story is a tragedy? Well sorry in advance 'cause you can probably tell why now. Anyways I just alway thought the CaitVi subplot would be the perfect tragedy, given the tragic nature of Arcane S1, I was so sure that they would capitalize on it in S2. Not only will she be the new kid at school, but she will also have to attend a school full of snobby wealthy kids who will look down on her. Caitlyn and Vi are not a good pairing, but their love for their sports has forced them together. Will Caitlyn be able to shape Vi into the player that she needs on her team in order to reach her dream? Could she somehow chip away at the walls that Vi has up? Could it maybe lead to more?
