The Five Who Remain

A little town known as Clearwater always had an awfully small population. It was the kind of town where everyone knew everyone. It has its pros and cons, but the worst part (or best if you're nosy) is that everyone knows when a crime occurs. So when kids begin to go missing all over town, heads begin to turn.

It started with random kids, no younger than 16, disappearing. In the beginning, it was chalked up to bad luck, or runaways. Until the kids of government workers begin to turn up missing.

First it was the deputy's son, then the daughter and son of the mayor. A few weeks later the head of forensics turns in a missing persons report for their son. Another week and the daughter of the swat team leader is gone. Many other kids disappear in between, kids of the bomb squad, scientology, even the son of the coroner. All disappear with no trace.

This case becomes the most important quickly. However, things get more personal when the sheriff's daughter and lead detective's son are gone from their bedrooms one night. It is up to the parents to figure out who is taking their children away from them, and put them behind bars before it is too late to save their sons and daughters from the fate of death.
