A re imagining of The Secret History with my own characters and plot twists. Basically we had a project for biology homework to write a short story incorporating DNA into a crime scene and I wrote this, so I thought I'd share it for anyone who wanted to read. I'm truly expecting this to get no reads, it's just a headshot split over 8 chapters. I may consider writing it in more depth when I get more time, but here's a couple thousand word short story for anyone who's interested.

So I'm planning to rewrite this story as I am unhappy with the way it turned out. The ending was rushed, it barely fits the description of a murder mystery, and it's been poorly written with little to no explanation on some details. I will rewrite it once it has been planned out. WORK IN PROGRESS‼️ ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ── There was no noise; I was at peace, and ironically, the stone-cold pavement never seemed warmer as my blood oozed out of me and around me like a painted canvas. I was slowly losing consciousness, but my mind never seemed happier now that I was dying. The white walls with big bright lights did not resemble heaven; in fact, it was quite the opposite. I thought I had died. When I came to, I found myself in this strange place, disoriented and confused. I looked around and found another five pairs of eyes looking at me with the same emotion swirling in their gaze. Now, 15 years later, I train with these girls. Our makers take care of us, feed us, and make sure we are clean, healthy, and fit. Some of us never had that; that's probably why it took so long for us to realize we were being used. The dirty work they made us do, none of us questioned it. How could we when we were taken off the streets? For a chance at normalcy, we settled for anything, even if that meant blurring the lines of right and wrong. After a mission gone haywire, we started noticing, and now we strike back to take our voices and reclaim the power that was used on us as a way to control us. "Ms.Nottage" "Ms.Nottage" "MS.NOTTAGE" "One day I'm seriously going to kill her" I whisper to myself as I got up and looked Ms.Noble in her old wrinkly caked up face. "Ms.Nottage speaking how can I be of service to you today" I smiled a innocent smile that didn't reach my eyes. "Is there a reason your sleeping in my class?" Aren't teachers suppose to have sense at least common??I couldn't help fixing my face in disgust as she folded her arms pushing her breast up. "I'm positive that whatever excuse I give I'm still going to get detention." I stared at her blankly. I smirk as I watch the vein on her neck pop out almost as if its beeping. "Why do you have to be such a bitch?" I immediately notice the attention of the whole class on us. Turning my head slowly towards the bold speaker I said "Why do you have to be a nosy nancy?" The speaker rushes to his feet ready to attack his prey as if he didn't know I'll always be the predator. "Temper Matthew temper" I said shaking my head at him watching as he's held back by fellow classmates I have yet to know the name of, not that I tried. "We wouldn't want you to end up in a coma again now would we." "You know one day someone's going to beat you to a pulp." Shaking off his 'friends' when they realized he's calmed down all having a seat except Mr.Bold of course. "And one day your going to drop down dead" As if I'm a witch a bullet flies through the wall into Matthews skull and what do you know he does drop down dead. Looking down at his body and up at everyone's shock and disbelief face I say "Likes like I'm going to need a lawyer" And as if on cue the sounds of screams and bullets occurs around me.This is going to be a long day.Complete

"Silly boy - you dare ask me that question?" I frown at him instantly - taken aback when he gripped my chin. Yanking me close enough towards him, our lips almost touched. The look in his eyes was one I've seen in wild animals who can't control their animalistic behaviors. Except this one was different...it held desire - which I wasn't for at all. "I became Unhinged because of you." That's when I saw him begin to lean towards me, and wasn't having this any longer. I shove my hand onto his lips right when he was about to kiss me. My eyes glaring into his despite the risks of me doing so. "I refuse for my first kiss to be from someone like you." I growl at him, his eyes widening in shock. That's when I push him back and got off of the couch. I saw him watching me with feral eyes that told me I probably angered him even more. Possibly heightening the chances of my removal from this horrid competition. Except I'm not like the other contestants here. Having him isn't my dream, my dream is helping my family - and being here does that. I could care less if he becomes Unhinged.
