Ten years ago Zoe and Romans lives imploded and the fall out tore them apart.

When Zoes brother and Romans best friend Will died at a party their lives were forever changed. Having lost the two most important men in her life Zoe has spent the last 10 years using her family's influence to dig into what really happened to her brother and why.

Now ten years after they last saw each other, fate brings Zoe and Roman back together again in the most unlikely place. Neither of them is prepared to see each other again, certainly not when danger is so close already.

Zoe Carter is finally getting help from a special agent in hunting down the people involved in her brothers death. As it becomes apparent they will need some help from another agency she reluctantly agrees not knowing it would bring back into her life the man who abandoned her hen she needed him most.

Roman Dupont is no longer the bad boy 20year old he was when he left New York to join the Navy. He's a SEAL now and his whole team just got handed over to aid the DEA in the investigation of a drug and human trafficking ring. They're supposed to be meeting an undercover informant when she walks in.

Zoe is not the 18 year old girl he remembers in his dreams. She is a determined woman who will now haunt him for the rest of his life.

He's determined to stay away from her but as the investigation heats up so do they.

Being forced to work together in a way none of the could have prepared for may just push them back together or tear them apart for good.
