Lone Wolf

"My name is Kaila Wellse. I used to live in Seattle, Washington. I used to go to Washington North High School. I used to talk and be nice to everyone. I used to be in track and archery. I used to be one of the most liked girls in school. Not anymore, though.
Now I live in a small town in Florida. Now I go to Englewood High School. Now I participate in nothing except what I have to. Now I talk to no one if I have the choice. Now I'm known as the Lone Wolf."

Having been the most popular girl in her old school, she had a lot of friends to leave behind when she moved. Deciding not to get close to anyone anymore, she avoids contact with all her classmates. One day, however, she meets the most popular guy in school, Blake Anderson, who's naive, and, surprisingly, really sweet. Over time they grow closer. Will Kaila keep her resolve, or will she fall for the very representation of everything she wants to avoid?

In the meantime, things from her past keep popping up. Why did they really move?
