"Lily?" he says in a soft whisper. She looks at his face, lightened only by the full moon.
"What is it?" she asks with a hint of smile. He stares into the night sky, watching the stars. He stays silent for quite some time, then sighs.
"I think... I mean... It's best if I just... We can't do this. I'm no good for you." For a moment, she's taken aback, but then she starts laughing.
"What are you-"
"I've done bad things, Lily. Things you can't even imagine and I feel horrible knowing that you care for me after everything I've..." she interrupts him with a deep kiss, which he returns after a moment of resisting. He pulls her on top of him, running his fingers through her hair and down her back. He stops suddenly, pushing her off. She hits her elbow on the hard stony floor and she cries out in pain.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, are you alright?" She looks up at him, thinking whatever has gone wrong between them. Was it her? Has she done something to push him away?
"What have I ever done to you?" she whispers in hurt.
"Nothing. It's all my fault for being an idiot." She opens her mouth to speak, but she suddenly hears footsteps on the staircase. Scorpius turns towards her, his silver eyes widened in fear. "Go. Hide. Now!"

Aurelia Malfoy is tired. Not the kind of tired that sleep can fix but a bone-deep weariness that has settled in her soul, draining her of everything she once was. She's lived through too much, seen too many faces disappear, and carried too many memories that feel like weights chained to her chest. Every moment of her life feels like a cruel game, one she's no longer willing to play. There's no fight left in her, only the haunting echoes of what she's lost-Hermione's laughter, Ron's resilience, Harry's love. Each death has chipped away at her until she's nothing but a hollow shell, barely holding herself together. And now, as she walks down the aisle toward a future she never chose, toward a man who represents everything she hates, Aurelia feels the final threads of her will unravel. To everyone watching, she's the radiant bride, tears glistening in her eyes. But they don't see the truth. They don't feel the quiet suffocation, the cracks in her façade, or the poison running through her veins. They can't hear the whispered screams in her mind or the desperate plea for release. And when she collapses, it isn't a shock to her-it's a relief. But death doesn't come. Instead, Aurelia wakes up gasping, disoriented and confused, in a place that feels achingly familiar yet impossibly distant. Her room. Her childhood room. Everything is pink and soft, untouched by the chaos of the life she remembers. Her hands are smaller, unmarked by the scars she had grown used to. Her skin is smooth, her body light, free from the heaviness that had consumed her for years. But this is no dream. The gods-or perhaps fate-have given her a second chance. A chance to rewrite her story, to fight for something better. Or maybe it's another cruel trick. Another burden to bear. The only thing Aurelia knows for sure is that she's alive. And this time, she won't waste a second of it.

War. They had dragged her into it, wrapped her in prophecy, and painted her as some messiah with a target on her back, all to clean up their mess. She was supposed to fight their battles, die their hero, and leave the world tidily saved. But Alexandrina Potter didn't give a damn about anyone's savior fantasies anymore. It should have ended. She did her duty, paid in scars and losses, and tried to make her peace. Yet here she was, tossed back nearly three decades by a smugly amused Lord Death, dumped into the year 1958 with a son she'd kept hidden from the world and a blood-adopted daughter who carried a legacy darker than any shadow she'd ever faced. Thomas Alexander Potter, three years old, bright-eyed, her heart's calm anchor. And Delphini Lilith Potter, fierce, sharp, and bound to her not by fate but by Alexandrina's own stubborn defiance of it. They were hers, and damn it, that meant something. Her goals were simple, if slightly ambitious: avoid meddling wizards, rewrite the future, and raise her children without the looming threat of war breathing down their necks. Shouldn't be too hard, right? She'd already defeated one megalomaniac. What was a little time travel, a few impossible odds, and the chance of crossing paths with Tom Riddle when he was still just a snake-eyed schoolboy with delusions of grandeur? Life had given her a second chance-no more, no less. And she was bloody well going to use it. Most Impressive Ranking #1 enemiestolovers out of 117K stories
