Valkyrie never knew what love was. After losing her mother at a young age, her father turns to the bottle, mistreating his daughter until she is left with nothing but solitude. Loki was raised as the second Prince of Asgard. He lived his life in luxury while learning the ways of magic from his mother, Queen Frigga. Though he has companions in his brother and friends, Loki has never felt more alone. He fears living as the second son and within his brother's shadow. He turns to mischief as a means of escape.
On a chance meeting, they face a new adventure together when Valkyrie saves Loki from trouble. A rare friendship blooms between this meeting, and both become inseparable. But when Valkyrie faces death, Loki will stop at nothing to ensure she lives. Through trials and tribulations, Valkyrie learns that love is meant to be affectionate, while Loki learns there is more to life than living in a shadow. Asgard was once a happy place for Freya but after her mother was murdered everything seemed dark and sluggish. Freya lived with her horrible neighbours for a while as she had nowhere else to go, or so she thought. One day Freya meets a woman who was friends with her mother and who also happens to work for Odin. Freya stays with the mystery woman until the go to the castle where Freya is about to learn something shocking. Frigga is helping her husband calm down when his assistant comes respectfully into the room with a small girl. Frigga notices something about the girl and is reminded of her adopted son. She invited them to stay for dinner where she finds out the truth. One cold touch. Just one touch and Frigga knew what her son had been hiding all those years. p.s. This book does not follow Norse mythology. In my story, I have made Freya Lokis daughter even though his real daughter is Hel. Also, this is the soft Loki. The one that is our sweet little baby.
