A moment later All Might had leapt away into the sky, Izuku tried to speak, there was so much he wanted to ask him. But when he saw the retreating figure of All Might he felt a deep disappointment well up in his chest. Why couldn't he speak? Why couldn't he pluck up the courage to ask All Might if someone quirkless could be a hero?

A new take on an old trope. A fresh pair of eyes to try and revitalize a trope not many people seem to want to write about.

Loneliness. Not just surface level, deep seeded societal rejection. This isn't just an examination of a what if. This is the story of a boy who despite being ignored and told "you don't belong" retains the desire to do good for the sake of doing good. The friends he makes along the way? Some come and go; a few stay for a while. One stays forever.

In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey? Friends? Love? Hardships? That's for you to find out. [This is a rework of my first book ever, "What It Means To Be A Hero"] --- I do not own any claims/rights to the My Hero Academia verse, all rights go to Kosei Horikoshi. I only own the original characters I've added to the story, and the arts I add in the book. In case the art doesn't belong to me, I'll credit the said person in the comments. Peace. Basically, It's another story about Aizawa finding out about the bullying problems Midoriya has had/ is having. Also includes Present Mic and All Might being worried dads. _ When Midoriya finally made it into UA, He knew it would be different. He wasn't sure how much, but it had to be different! Of course, the work and how the school works would be different, but he hoped the people there would be different, too. Mostly because he had a quirk now. He wasn't useless anymore and he was definitely not quirkless anymore. In all honesty, Midoriya didn't expect all the kindness he was receiving from his peers and teachers. Surely, the teachers knew he was quirkless beforehand, right? If they knew.. then why didn't they hate him? Besides All Might, he expected them to dislike him. (Midoriya only thought All Might cared because he used to be quirkless too.. but it was better than nothing.) However, with his friends, he was happier. He didn't even know how to act around friends, but he tried.. Even if deep down Midoriya knew he couldn't trust anybody-- And he didnt trust anybody-- he still tried. Oh well, why didn't he trust them? Simple. He had the mindset that, 'If they knew he was quirkless, it would be middle school all over again.' He was protecting himself, just in case they found out. If they found out and stopped being friends with him, well it would be okay. He was prepared. He had to be. So, in the end, he didn't tell anybody about his old quirkless ways. Not that he had to tell anybody, right? He had a quirk, so it shouldn't matter anymore, right? Wrong. Who says the bullying and its effects ever go away? How would he ever be able to explain the messages he gets during the day from old classmates? How would he ever explain that it's all getting to him more than he knows it should? _ [My Hero Academia belongs to Kohei Horikoshi] I might make a second chapter, but if I don't it's still complete!

°.✩┈┈∘*┈🌙┈*∘┈┈✩.° The story begins after the earth-shaking battle that ended All Might's career as the Symbol of Peace. The defeat of the villain All For One marked the end of an era, but also the beginning of an uncertain future for the next generation of heroes. With the world's greatest hero stepping down, the pressure on Class 1-A to rise up and protect society weighs heavier than ever. At the center is Izuku Midoriya-once the powerless boy who dreamed of being a hero, now the rightful inheritor of One For All. Yet the path ahead is anything but easy. Izuku struggles with the enormous expectations placed upon him, balancing the weight of a legacy that sometimes feels too heavy for his shoulders. "Over the moon for you" delves deeply into Izuku's internal world-his doubts, hopes, and unwavering determination to become a hero who can inspire and protect without losing himself in the process. As Izuku grapples with his new role, the story intimately explores his relationship with Ochako Uraraka, a girl whose own dreams and struggles mirror his in many ways. The bond between Izuku and Uraraka is tender and evolving-marked by shared experiences, quiet understanding, and the unspoken support that grows in the spaces between words. Their connection blossoms not through grand declarations but through the subtle, everyday moments: a look exchanged during battle drills, a soft smile after a tough day, the comfort found in simply being near someone who understands the burden of chasing a dream under impossible odds. /> フ | _ _ l /' ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | |

20 parts Complete

It wasn't supposed to go like this. Izuku was supposed to achieve his dream of becoming a hero, like All Might. He was supposed to become a hero with Kacchan by his side. He was supposed to become a hero alongside all of his friends in Class 1A. But... That's not how his story went. Accused of something he didn't do, Izuku Midoriya was expelled from UA. His friends mourned the loss of his presence at UA, but there was little they could do to bring him back. After all, it had been the Hero Commission who had forced him out, and a few teenagers weren't much in face of a government agency. So they silently mourned the loss of one of the class's leaders, going about their days. Well, except for a select few who would do anything, including ignoring the highest authority they worked under, to get their friend back. *All Characters belong to Kohei Horikoshi.*
