Well, what's there to be said? After the Ebola Virus mutated, it created horrible monsters from animals, even humans. It's been about thirty years since then, of course. People have changed. A lot.
Before I go any further, I'm Danielle. Dani for short. Turns out, I'm immune to the virus. Unfortunately, that means something is wrong with my DNA. And that means the entire Militia is after me. I need to get out of here. And fast.
But then I just so happen to meet Alex. The most annoying, cocky, yet super skilled at surviving asshole. He knows about some sort of Resistants that take weird, (or, as Alex calls us, "genetically modified") humans. Alex says we have loads of potential, we just have to unlock it.

The Inevitable
It's been 8 months since a dangerous, mind-affecting, violent and sentient pathogen ravaged Earth and became a Wasteland with only 15% of the human population still intact and the remaining percentage had been either killed or infected. Now a strange force rises as the society now known as the "The Red Order" is now aware of the capabilities of the said pathogen, which may fear the incoming of what is known as "The Inevitable," as shown in the prophecy of the Red Order. A team of specialized forces from the Red Order embark on a journey to discover the Inevitable, hoping to develop a way to stop the prophecy. But as the day proceeds, the infected are learning much faster and are catching up. Will they proceed or will the prophecy be fulfilled? The Infection is caused by a strain of bacteria similar to that of Yersinia pestis. The infected are merciless, violent, sentient and somehow exhibit a sociopathic tendency. I do know that in order to save what was left of the human race, the president at the time took a bunch of really smart people and kids and relocated them into new 'protected' cities. My father was one of those really smart people. I was only five at the time, but I knew what was happening." Within the walls of the compound, Jay makes stupid mistakes, mistakes even she doesn't understand, putting everyone inside at risk. All because she can't shoot someone. All because she misses the wind in her hair, the flowers on the hillsides, the sound of crickets at night. All because she's different, the only person untouchable by the Virus. When the mistakes begin to duplicate, and a girl shows up who knows her name, everything begins to change in Compound 4. They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? Greedy... and prideful... we'd do anything to achieve our goals... even if it meant ending the world... Scientists had experimented on humans for a long time, making different breakthroughs and some failures... but this one was their most astonishing and regretful discovery.. with a mistake in their calculations as well as their subject. A virus was created and this virus was passed on to Everyone in the hospital lab quickly causing the first zombie infected appearance. At first it was mild... but like a wild fire, it spread round the city and nearly around the world... humanity was pushed back, homes destroyed....bond broken.... and many more problems came. But after all, humans can adapt quickly. And quick did they adapt... creating weapons that work for both infected and mercenaries alike, humanity had found a way to survive again. Despite the population reducing to an absolute needle size... humanity didn't give up... And now.... something else seems to have appeared... something that would affect everything..Complete
The Z Contingency
The zombie apocalypse is coming. A scientist at the CDC has that terrifying realization when infected victims start displaying the symptoms predicted by his model. A virus responsible for hemorrhagic fevers is mutating into something that zombifies its victims instead of killing them. Realizing the only hope is to get ahead of it, he sets out to create a vaccine, but to create a vaccine he needs a sample of the virus. He tries to enlist the aid of a colleague to help him create the very virus he wants to eradicate, but she refuses on ethical grounds. Witnessing the horrific transformation of an infected patient forces her to reconsider, but before they can start working on a vaccine, their virus samples are stolen. As they criss-cross the country on a hunt for a cure, the paths of the two scientists cross those of a shadow organization on a secret mission, and a loose-knit network of zombie prepper groups whose loyalties are unclear. I am editing The Z Contingency for an updated edition, and I thought Wattpad would be a good platform to get improvements suggested by readers. Let's get one thing straight here, I'm not a hero (I totally am, but I hear that these days being modest is in fashion or something, so I don't know man). I never planned on being a hero. It kind of just happened. Clark's the bigshot. The fame, the girls, the attention. Me? I'm just his loser younger brother. Another rich Trackerson kid, but that quiet one with no personality. I'm kidding. I'm funny. I promise. I have to be. The name's Liam. The apocalypse wasn't easy on anyone, but it was harder on some. We made it okay.
