Summer was in Merliah (Lia) Collins blood. If you thought of summer you thought of Merliah. 

Her mother Marjorie (Jo) was best friends with Laurel and Susannah, they have been for as long as anyone can remember. The three started the summer tradition of staying at Susannah's beach home in Cousin's Beach every summer when Merliah and Conrad were born. 

"Lia you were destined to be in the ocean" literally everyone told her that and it was true. She felt connected to the Cousins Beach in more way then one. Every summer was magical for her, something she would cherish until she was withered and gray. This summer though, it was different. Not only was it her last summer before going to college, but it was the summer she found herself falling for Conrad Fisher.

Edit: (This was originally a Jeramiah story but I wanted more drama so I'm changing it to be a Conrad book because I love him!)
