Super Mario Bros. Movie: Who Are You?

What if the Super Mario Bros did not know they were brothers...?

Luigi got abducted by aliens at a very young age. He now serves as Bowser's servant, and all the memories he has of Mario and Brooklyn are a blur.

Mario successfully achieves his dream of becoming a plumber, and remembers his younger brother Luigi. He blames himself for letting Luigi get abducted, and vowed to not let anything like that ever happen again.

However, during a mission to 'save Brooklyn', Mario gets pulled into a pipe and lands into the Mushroom Kingdom. Little does he know, his little brother resides there, a prisoner. Being in a sympathetic mood, Princess Peach decides to bring Luigi along, much to his unwillingness.

Will these brothers fail to rebuild their once-indestructible friendship?
Or will Mario, a simple plumber from Brooklyn, and Luigi, Bowser's loyal servant, regain trust in one another and loyalty to each other? But that begs the question...
Will they ever become brothers again?
