"Run Siya Run".
Nothing can motivate a sprinter more than this cheer.
Well, I got my first cheer at 5 when I ran my first race. And since then, I stopped at finishing lines only.
Like for most athletes, being playful & agile was the reason for joining any sport. No exception happened to me.
I specialize in the 100m and 200m., and have won many races since I was a kid. But this year has turned out to be the best to date.
I represented my country at the 'Asian Juniors' held in Dubai and the 'World Juniors' in Lima. Also, in the last edition of the 'Khelo India Youth Games' in Chennai, I won a Gold Medal in the 100m and a Silver Medal in the 200m race. However, I dream of winning international tournaments and making my loved ones more proud of me.
As an athlete, I have seen many injuries, lack of motivation, and setbacks, but nothing could stop me from growing as a sportsman or in life. And that persuaded me to expand my learning domain by joining Sports Science at IISM.
It is an opportunity to keep my passion for sports and interest in biology alive. Not just that, by taking up this program, I get to stay connected with my sport off the field as well. Learning more about sports science has benefitted me in enhancing my performance on the track.
As every Finishing Line on the track opens a new path for me, I, Siya Sawant, want to continue my race and dream of reaching the milestone with the cheer, "Run Siya Run".
