She/her reader.
You are a young journalist from Zaun, working for The Piltover Globe. You witnessed the explosion of Jayce's lab from your friend's apartment. Your redaction board asks you to investigate on the matter, while the Academy tries to hide as much info as possible.
But in a way or another, you meet Viktor, and a few things you did not even expect start to unravel.
TW anxiety (mild but still)/death/mourning
The "Fringes" idea is not mine, it comes from @Berserkitty and their wonderful fanfic "Undercity Development Section" (I'm sure you read it, if you haven't please do, it's fantastic).
I imagine Y/N to be around 24/25, same age as Viktor in season 1 but that's purely personal projection, feel free to change that in your head !
Usual thing: English is not my first language and I tried to make the story as accessible as possible. Please, pleaaase tell me if I made any typos, if some sentences do not feel right or anything, I want to make the smoothest experience as possible for you readers. I will be updating the story regularly (at least I'll try, I have a competitive exam next February so...). I haven't found a title yet, if any comes up into your mind please suggest it :)
Also, I decided every chapter should be named after a piece of literary work I like, each reference is at the end of the chapter !

The Arcane Trilogy: Better Call Paul - Book 1
Paul Goodbrook was born in Piltover, but like many unfortunate souls in Zaun, he lost people he cared for when the Topsiders battled the Zaunites. This put him down a path he didn't expect, where he will discover more about himself, whilst meeting lots of interesting people along the way as he navigates the political world of Pilltover and falls further into Zaun's crminal underworld. This is book 1 of a planned book trilogy. This book will take place over the year before the start of Act 2 of the show, then will follow Paul's POV through the events of the show. As such, this book will be more of a contained story, as it will mainly follow Paul for the majority of the chapters. The plan is for book 2 to be my own version of Season 2 with some original characters involved, so it will be a larger story with regards to how many characters we will follow. Then book 3 will be a season 3 story based on my season 2 story. My plan is to upload 1 chapter per week after I publish Chapter 3 (I had the first 3 pre written to see what numbers/feedback I get), but this may end up becoming 1 chapter every 2 weeks. If I'm able to get a lot of work done, I will publish chapters on a more regular basis outside of the established schedule. If any changes occur like a hiatus or something like that, I will update this description. DISCLAIMER: I am not a League of Legends fan, I am a fan of Arcane.
