"Daddy," Nat whispered, his voice soft and innocent. As he sat on Alex lap to watch a horror movie.
Alex took a deep breath, controlling his reaction. "Baby, how many times have I told you to call me Phi?"
"But... I love calling you Daddy," Nat said, leaning back to get comfortable, oblivious to how his words and actions were affecting Alex.
Alex's jaw tightened. "Baby, please... don't test my patience," he murmured, his voice a mix of warning and restraint.
