Renegades: the grace of the union Act I

Bismonia appears to be an exemplary nation, but behind its diplomatic façade lies a deeply divided country on the brink of collapse. Centuries ago, the rich took control of the surface, relegating the poor to a toxic underworld that, over time, led them to develop mutations to adapt to their hostile environment. Now, underground discontent, the appearance of a serum that aggravates mutants, and growing criminal groups threaten a rebellion that could destroy the fragile balance of the country.
In this context, Vicco, a young man rescued in a secret operation aimed at preventing further mutations, is adopted by Reisha, the mission commander. The physical and emotional scars of his past, along with a degenerative disease that limits his mobility, lead him to focus on creating inventions to improve his life. However, his fate changed when Reisha arranged for him to become a student of Pold, a renowned inventor, thanks to the support of Zyrenha, an influential figure in the syndicate, who shows a special interest in Vicco and approves his training.
In the laboratory, Vicco meets Añorex, Pold's new student, and together they work on projects to improve the lives of citizens. During their investigations, they discover mysterious stones capable of using certain elements to their advantage, but at a high cost: their use is highly dangerous and can unleash unforeseeable consequences. While Añorex considers experimenting with these stones to be madness, Vicco believes that they could be the key to stopping those who are creating the serum. Vicco even imagines that these stones could unify the surface and the tunnels into a single nation.
