The Empire of Fate and Blood

On the 18th birthday of every person across the world they receive a gift from the Fates. The Fates are the original 6 magic wielders that fought against the Soulless. Soulless are beings who chose raw power of gods over their mortal souls and can infect the weak if given the opportunity.
After you receive your gift you can either join 1 of 5 communities; The Force, Healers, Educators, Agriculture, and Manufacturing.
Drexel Foster is a citizen of Ashen City, orphaned at the age of 7 due to a freak accident with the mines. Since then he's lived with his aunt until his 18th birthday. Ashen City is the poorest city compared to its neighbors, Noxford and Ironspire in the Duskspire Empire. He dreams of one day becoming a general in The Force some day to help balance the economy with Ironspire and Noxford to help Ashen City and make it a safer place to live. But what he doesn't know is the world is a much bigger and scarier place. The problems he thought where his main focus will soon disappear when he learns the Soulless are returning and Rebels closing in to take over the Empire.
Nothing has been the same with the Emperors death and the Empress does her best to maintain order in her husband's place until her son can rule.
Drex tries his hardest to get through the 1st year in The Force. He'll have to do his best to survive and make allies within the ranks as he climbs them himself to achieve his dream of being General and restore balance.
