Rose is just beginning to cope with Dimitri leaving to go with Tasha Ozera to become her guardian. But, in a random act of love, Dimitri spends the night with Rose; knowing that he would have to leave as soon as they had spent the night together.

After leaving unannounced, Dimitri finds himself regretting his choice to leave Rose; and even though Tasha doesn't want the two to be together, she takes off of work when the two receive a letter from Rose that held a small plastic tube, and a picture.

(Lissa is Queen, bond never broke, and Rose is her Guardian.)
(My version of the story. Plot is my doing, as well as a few characters, but the rest of the credit goes to Richelle Mead for making this beautiful story.)

Rose finds herself opening up to Dimitri and he lets her stay at his apartment for the night so she doesn't have to see Jesse. All Characters belong to Richelle Mead, although the plot belongs to me!
