"When hearts shatter, can time piece them back together?"

Aarav and Pratik were never supposed to meet, let alone fall for each other. One was a quiet honor student with a passion for music, the other a spirited artist seeking freedom in his work. During their final year of high school, their bond was an escape-a connection as beautiful as it was fragile. But one fateful moment and the weight of expectations shattered everything, leaving only unanswered questions and broken hearts.
Years later, a chance encounter brings them face-to-face again-or so it seems. Aarav, now a reclusive composer, hides behind the music he shares with the world, still haunted by the past. Pratik, burdened with guilt and the words left unsaid, sees the meeting as a second chance. But as Aarav's resistance to revisiting their history becomes clear, Pratik is forced to hold back his intentions and tread carefully. In the face of heartbreak and silence, can they find their way back to what they once were?

"Why are you looking at me like that?" My voice came out quiter than intended. "Like what?" He whispered, leaning closer as his hand reached out for my waist. "Like you're either about to kill me or kiss me." I whispered back, afraid to break the spell. He chuckled before tilting his head, his eyes never leaving mine. "It's one of the two." He said, now smirking. *** Karthik Kaur was an over-achiever- and it was visible. He did his best on every test, making sure to not miss a single point even though it was only his first year. On the other hand, a boy not so different, but very different, was in the same class as him- known as Ethan Dickinson. He was also an over-achiever and aimed for the highest grade. The huge difference was although that on one side, where Karthik wasn't afraid to show his 'nerdy' side, on the other side there was Ethan who did everything to not show his 'nerdy' side. Karthik finally realises that this 'nonchalant' and 'careless' boy is actually competing with him. And instead of fair play, he cheats! At evening, before every test, Ethan decides to disturb Karhtik in one way or another. Calling him from an unknown phone number, knocking loudly while he's trying to focus- these 'harmless' pranks were all a part of Ethan's plan. What happens when Karthik decides to prank him back, and the very harmless prank of his turns out to be harmful? But not to Ethan, but to himself? Is this book only about some regular high school kids, thought? Or does it go deeper? Read to find out! Ratings: #7 in Ethan 22/02-25
